Wet-hire · Truck and operator together
Grip truck with operator in Atlanta
More than just a grip truck! This is my grip and lighting van loaded with enough gear to handle a wide variety of shoots.
The more-than-1-ton bundle covers what an interview, b-roll, corporate, or lit narrative day needs: lighting for two or three setups at a time, shaped and powered, for a crew of up to six. Price includes me as your gaffer.
$1,750 /day · truck, gear, and me as gaffer

This is wet-hire: the truck comes with its operator
I drive it
Prepped and ready on arrival
- The truck arrives ready to roll, because the driver is the gaffer
- Packed the night before, gone when we wrap
I run it
On set I'm your gaffer, not a delivery driver.
- I know where every stand, rag, and stinger lives
- 20+ years on set
I maintain it
My own gear, in working order.
- Tested, repaired, and restocked by the person who uses it
- Expendables (tape, gel, diffusion) stocked and included
One rate covers both: $1,750/day, the truck and full grip and electric (G&E) package with me as gaffer. Need camera too? The Docu DP Day is $2,500, the DP + Gaffer Day $3,500. See the day rates →
Why this beats a dry rental
A dry rental hands you a box of gear and leaves the rest to you. Wet-hire folds all of that into one person and one line on the budget. Additional crew and equipment are available, quoted per job.
- No separate delivery window Less to coordinate: the truck arrives when your crew call does, and the driver is your gaffer.
- No separate labor line The rate already includes the person who runs the gear. One booking, one invoice, no truck-plus-crew math.
- Gear maintained by owner Everything on the truck is owned, tested, and kept in working order by the person who works with it every week.
